Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3
Sometimes it was used as a shooting range to test newly purchased weapons, other times as a space to repair enormous trucks, and also as a junkyard for disposing of components that were no longer useful.
Behind Santa’s Rest Stop was a spacious open area.
It served various purposes.

The cold night air swept through the area.
And that day, it would be used as a dueling ground.
Ash, who appeared to be preparing for the duel while testing an old steel sword, turned his head.
“Sir.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Ash lowered his sword and replied.
He saw Akina’s face, completely filled with worry.
“Will you really be all right? amber Do you want us to cancel it while we still can?”
“That will not be necessary.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“You’re only saying that because you don’t know how strong Grandpa Santa is. acid He’s incredibly strong! abandon He’s famous around here! autumn I’d better find another way. anxiety Whatever, I’ll get a recommendation letter from someone else. attic Damn it, what a pain……”
Apparently, even as she spoke, she was having considerable difficulty giving up that opportunity.
The girl’s voice gradually trailed off.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Yes?”
Ash observed Akina for a few moments before speaking calmly.
“Miss Akina.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“What is it?”
“There is something I would like to ask you.”
“Something has struck me as strange for a while now. armor Couldn’t anyone become a Pathfinder? action I seem to recall that was precisely what the data card said. afford Then why do you need a recommendation letter?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Pathfinders are mainly divided into two categories.”
Although the question was directed at Akina, someone else answered.
An old man appeared carrying his weapons.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“As for Assault, practically anyone will do as long as they know how to shoot or wield a sword. airport After all, all they need to do is eliminate the enemy. airport But Technomancers are different. artist They’re extremely valuable.”
It was Santa.
As he spoke, he slipped his weapons, two customized revolvers, into their holsters.
“Assault, who are responsible for combat. voyage And Technomancers, who extract data from the ancient civilization.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
He looked like a genuine cowboy.
At some point, he had also put on a cowboy hat.
After finishing his preparations, Santa took out a cigarette and lit it.
Hat, holsters, and cigarette.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“You see, these Technomancers are human computers who managed to survive the Cyberbrain procedure against incredibly low odds. afford They use that electronic brain to connect to the cyberspace of the ancient civilization. avalanche Their job is to extract the data that remains hidden there and recover forgotten technologies.”
A thick cloud of cigarette smoke dispersed into the night air.
“The problem is that the Cyberbrain module consumes practically all their resources, so they can’t install any other Cyberware. palette They’re like bodies made of glass that can barely survive on their own, much less fight.”
Fuuuh.

As he spoke, Ash realized something.

Ash nodded.

Perhaps his gaze was too intense, because Akina appeared slightly embarrassed.
Ash’s optical sensors turned toward Akina.
“Could it be that Miss Akina is a Technomancer?”

Then she swept her abundant hair aside and revealed the back of her neck.

In the center of her pale nape,
Without saying anything, she turned around.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Now do you understand why she needs a recommendation letter?”
a mechanical connection port and several thin cables could be faintly distinguished amid her smooth skin.
They were probably connected directly to her brain.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“We can’t allow a Technomancer as valuable as this brat to die for nothing. riddle She absolutely has to team up with a competent Assault, and some old fellow like me has to vouch for them by saying, ‘With this, she probably won’t die,’ before they’re granted authorization.”
“Have all your questions been answered, Ash?”
Santa flicked away his cigarette butt and looked at Ash with gleaming eyes.
Santa spoke.

“Then you also understand what this duel means, don’t you?”
“……They have.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Akina, who stood between them, looked from one to the other.
A strange tension began to flow between the two men.
Sensing that the atmosphere was becoming serious, she quickly moved away.

He spun it once and then assumed his initial stance.
Ash held the steel sword vertically.
“……”
“……”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Santa Claude. aluminum Bartender.”
Santa grinned broadly as he observed Ash’s respectful attitude and, at the same time, the intense presence emanating from him.
“I am called Ash. echo I belong to no organization and am a wandering swordsman. athlete I shall face you using this sword you have so kindly provided me, Elder Santa.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Without Ash noticing, he was already holding two heavy customized revolvers.
He raised both hands.
A single glance was enough to understand that they were no ordinary weapons.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Before anyone realized it, a suffocating tension dominated the entire area.
The unsettling atmosphere gradually intensified.
A brief silence.
“I’ll face you with these Peacekeepers.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Here I come.”
He had barely finished uttering those words when his figure seemed to stretch as he moved.
Ash spoke.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Santa was surprised to see Ash close the distance in an instant.
It was an incredibly light and swift movement.
‘Fast!’
However, in complete contrast to his surprise, his combat-hardened hands quickly aimed at his opponent.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
It was not the same kind of indiscriminate shooting the REST-MAN had used earlier.
The two revolvers spat fire at Ash.
Bang! arena Bang-bang!
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Contrary to his original intention of immediately closing the distance, Ash had no choice but to retreat a step.
Santa predicted Ash’s trajectory and fired toward the places he was about to move to, blocking his next movements in advance.
That brief retreat was enough to reverse the positions of attacker and defender.

The moment of reloading.
Ash deployed the Dragon Form Step while waiting for an opportunity to turn the tide of the battle once again.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Apparently, the cylinders had been completely emptied.
Click.
Finally, both of Santa’s revolvers produced a hollow sound.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
He intended to end the duel with that attack.
Ash, who until then had been circling him with unpredictable movements, quickly lunged forward.
However,
‘Now!’
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Santa’s revolvers spat fire once again.
‘……!’
Bang-bang!
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Shouldn’t he be reloading?
Ash’s optical sensors reacted instantly.
The brief exchange ended in an instant.
He hurriedly drew back his sword and twisted his body on pure instinct.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“……Ha! anxiety For someone who speaks so elegantly, you move like a damn monster. galaxy Are you a humanoid manufactured during the Corporate Wars generation? autumn No. crystal Autonomous behavior processes hadn’t been developed back then.”
Santa tapped his neck a few times with the barrel of his gun.
After putting some distance between themselves again, the two stared intently at each other.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“I am exactly what I told you when I introduced myself.”
“More importantly, did you not need to reload a moment ago?”
“What a shitty answer.”
“You. Read original high-quality translation at indratranslations.com. absorb What are you?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
It had been barely an instant.
“In such a short time?”
“Yeah. auction And I did.”
Less than a second.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Had he managed to reload in that incredibly brief interval?
Apparently, Ash’s reaction amused Santa, who raised one hand.
“……What……?”
Then he showed him how he reloaded.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
The entire process took place practically in an instant.
His wrist snapped open, and he extracted a fully loaded cylinder.
“……An interesting technique.”
Immediately afterward, he swapped it with the cylinder of his Peacekeeper revolver.

“If necessary.”
However, unlike before, that smile was extremely combative.
Santa grinned broadly.
“You’re going to continue, aren’t you?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
His grin grew even wider.
As soon as he finished speaking, several thin cables shot out from the bodies of the customized Peacekeeper revolvers he held in both hands.
“Then how about we pick up the pace a little?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
A brief electrical discharge ran through his body.

Crackle!
The cables moved as though they were alive, pierced through his shirt, and precisely entered the connection ports located on both of Santa’s forearms.

At the same time, an intense blue glow emerged from his mechanical eye.
His mechanical eye was actually emitting light on its own.
This was not a figure of speech.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
The tone of his voice became subtly more even.
“I’ve got a rough idea of your abilities now, so let’s fight seriously, Mr. auction Technological Swordsman.”
That blue gaze turned toward Ash.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Ash understood instinctively.
The real fight was beginning now.
Santa aimed the revolvers, which now seemed to have become part of his own body.
The carefree attitude he had displayed until then disappeared, replaced by the characteristic coldness of a Pathfinder.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
And Ash was stunned.
Gunshots rang out once again.
Bang! artist Bang-bang!
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
One of the bullets fired afterward struck the ground and ricocheted at a strange angle.
The bullets that seemed to be heading directly toward him abruptly changed direction in midair, as though they were living creatures, and attacked from the flanks.
And that was not all.
Others had been fired along completely unpredictable curved trajectories from the very beginning.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
His figure narrowly evaded the hail of bullets, like a reed swaying in the wind.
Ash threw himself to one side even before his sensors finished displaying their warnings.
Attacks arriving simultaneously from every direction.
It was an omnidirectional offensive that Ash would never have imagined possible with firearms designed for direct fire.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Even so, some projectiles came from angles that were completely impossible to avoid.
It was inevitable.
If he had deepened his understanding of the Neuro Heart Technique, perhaps he could have dodged them.
Without internal energy, Ash could only reproduce the external form of the Dragon Form Step.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
‘Then I’ll deflect them!’
Ash ignored the warning cries of his artificial neural network and raised his sword.
Therefore, he had no way to avoid them. This novel translation is officially hosted on indratranslations.com.
But he had not yet reached that level.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Under the enormous kinetic energy of the projectiles, the joints of his mechanical arm emitted rusty creaks.
Clang-clang-clang!
The old sword collided with the bullets, producing a shower of sparks.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Santa felt exactly the same way.
Even while dodging and deflecting the bullets coming from every direction, Ash could not conceal his astonishment.
‘Bullets that change trajectory! aspect Isn’t this comparable to the Tang Clan’s flying knife techniques?’
However, Ash ignored those insignificant details and used the full capacity of his main core to analyze the situation.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
‘What the fuck? august He’s deflecting bullets with a sword? amateur Is that even possible?’
A bead of cold sweat ran down his forehead.
While both men were mutually astonished by each other’s abilities,
Even for someone like him, who had survived countless battles over the years, this was the first time he had witnessed anything like it.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Ash was the first to attempt to change the situation.

That was why Ash activated his new power, still incomplete.
A vague sense of danger warned him that, if things continued this way, he would eventually be defeated without even managing to get properly close. Indra Translations protects the hard work of translators and authors.

The Neuro Heart Technique.
The electricity stored in his battery pack began to be rapidly consumed, and at the same time, blue sparks emerged from different parts of his body.
Electrical energy began circulating violently through his artificial neural network.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
At a certain instant, Ash found a tiny opening within that shifting curtain of bullets.
The undulating electrical force.
Rumble!
With a roar resembling thunder, his figure shot forward like a bolt of lightning, using the principles of Flying Dragon Shrinks the Earth.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
That speed far exceeded Santa’s predictions.
It was as though space itself had contracted around Ash.
“What?!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Startled, Santa attempted to lean backward.
In an instant, the tip of his sword reached Santa’s face.
But it was already too late.

Exactly at the boundary between his cybernetic body and his organic tissue.
Without deviating a single inch.
Ash’s sword had stopped just below his neck.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
There was no heavy breathing.
If Ash had applied just a little more force, Santa’s head would have gone flying.
A suffocating silence.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“You…… what the hell are you?”
“Heh…… Hehehe.”
After all, this had been a duel between a cyborg and a humanoid.
Santa let out a low laugh.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Damn it. palette I hate that answer.”
Ash withdrew his sword.
Santa grimaced, making it clear that he truly meant it.
“I am exactly what I told you when I introduced myself.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Akina, who had been watching from a distance, ran toward them while shouting words specifically designed to irritate Santa.
“See?! canvas I told you! academy Mr. acquire Ash is incredibly strong! antique Boo, Grandpa Santa! alpha You’re finished! auction Boo!”
“Elder Santa.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Santa holstered his weapons and let out a sigh.
“Is this enough to prove my usefulness?”
“What?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
“Exactly! armor Hurry up and give me my recommendation letter!”
“Then will you write the recommendation letter?”
“Yeah. airport You’re not just useful. atomic You’re fucking useful. aluminum So much so that I can hardly believe it even after seeing it with my own eyes.”
Akina, who had already reached them, also stretched out both arms as she pressed him.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 6: The Cloud Dragon Enters the World 3 by Indra Translations.
Finally, he shouted while grumbling.
Santa observed the immature Technomancer and the one-armed humanoid for a few moments.
Although he continued complaining, his expression somehow seemed relieved.
“Damn it! altitude I’ll write it! wizard I’ll write it for you!”
