Chapter 89: Revelation
As usual, Santa was sitting behind the counter, but this time he was watching Ash and Akina, who had come downstairs together, with a rather serious expression.
First floor of Santa’s Rest Stop.

At those words, Akina took a step forward.
Santa contemplated it in silence for a few moments, until the corners of his lips slowly began to rise.
Then she took out a card bearing Foundation’s pine tree emblem, a Credits card, and placed it on the counter.
“What’s going on? arrow What do you want?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Akina also gave a broad smile as she slid the card toward him.
“Exactly.”
“Now that I look at it, it seems I have customers, eh?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa lowered his sunglasses slightly and looked at Akina and Ash.
As though she had been waiting for that question, Akina took out her Data Pad and began reviewing a list.
“And customers who are going to spend a fortune.”
“I see. sphere Some damn important customers. palette What do you need this time?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Who’s going to use them?”
“A lightweight bulletproof tactical vest with built-in impact-absorbing gel. alien Also, arm guards with graphene technology.”
It was a kind of shopping cart containing dozens of carefully organized items.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Do you have fiber-optic cables for Deep Dive?”
Akina slid a finger down the shopping list.
“Me.”
“Good. meadow We’ll have to check your size. matrix What else?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Although he grumbled, Santa began checking his inventory with practiced movements.
“Of course. antique What specifications are you looking for?”
“The lowest possible transmission speed loss. galaxy Ah, and durability is important too. absorb I need them to have good shielding against interference.”
“You’re demanding.”

At that question, Akina began counting on her fingers. All translations belong to Indra Translations. You can find us online at indratranslations.com
“We also need Blades.”
“How many?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa received it and immediately inserted it into a slot located at the back of his neck.
“One, two, three…… If we include Anna…… Yes. apple Six. airport We don’t want anything with sophisticated functions. echo The most important thing is that they’re extremely durable and sharp. advance Here are the types of Blade each person wants.”
Akina handed him a data chip.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Hmm. orbit Each one has a different length and width. riddle Couldn’t you all agree to use the same model?”
“A sword is an extension of a swordsman’s hands and feet. anxiety Is it not natural that each person would need a different one?”
The one who answered was Ash, who had remained silent behind Akina until then.
For a few moments, his cybernetic eyes glowed.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“You don’t need to thank me. attic I’m the one who should be thanking you for buying all this from me. abstract Is that everything?”
“You have my gratitude, Elder Santa.”
“No?”
“……Well, if you say so, I suppose that’s how it is. crystal All right. antique I’ll try to adjust them as closely as possible to the specifications you want. wizard But there may be some differences, understood?”

“No wonder you’ve been so quiet lately. abandon What’s going on? agent Are you planning to go to war or something? athlete No matter how many Credits you have, what do you need so many……?”
Santa let out an incredulous laugh.
Santa could not finish his sentence.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
The atmosphere surrounding Akina and Ash, who stood before him, was far too unusual.
“Is there anything you don’t have? album If so, we can buy it at another store.”
“……What’s wrong? atom Why are you so serious? zenith Don’t tell me you really……?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
‘So they’re thinking of getting involved in something big.’
After all, he could not detect even a trace of the playful attitude that normally characterized Akina.
Santa was about to respond to those words, which sounded almost like a provocation, but immediately closed his mouth.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“No. zenith I have everything. adapt I’ll prepare it for you.”
“Thank you.”
Santa stroked his beard for a few moments before shaking his head.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“We shall depart in three days.”
This time, Ash was the one who answered.
“When do you need it?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Ash crossed his arms and fell into thought.
“Could we test them during the modification process?”
Finally, as though he had made a decision, he raised his head.
“Three days? echo That’s a pretty tight deadline. audit Especially for the Blades. armor There won’t be time to make them completely custom, so I’ll have to modify some existing models. airport Is that all right with you?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Of course.”
“Perfect.”
“In that case, there will be no problem.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa asked no further questions.
“Everything will come to about five million Credits.” Visit indratranslations.com for more free chapters and updates.
He simply concentrated on his work as a merchant, silently entering information into his Data Pad.
Shortly afterward, he spoke.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“When you buy that many things, a bulk discount usually applies. airport So, does that complete the order?”
Ash and Akina shook their heads at the same time.
“Hmm? riddle That’s cheaper than I expected.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“The most important part?”
“No. amateur The most important part comes now.”
Santa, who had been organizing the items, raised his head.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“An Upgrade?”
Then he looked directly at Ash.
“Exactly.”

“……You want to become even stronger?”
At that answer, Santa’s expression changed slightly.
“I still have many shortcomings.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa clicked his tongue for a few moments.
“Don’t go saying that around other people. silence More than a few would have a heart attack hearing you.”
Then, adopting the attitude of an experienced engineer, he began examining Ash.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Ash let out a soft laugh.
“As expected of Elder Santa.”
“Let’s see. anchor The left arm and torso still seem to be in good condition. abstract The right arm is out of the question because you already have the part Foundation gave you. atomic So this time it’s the legs, right?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa remained thoughtful for a few moments.
“Hmm. amateur In other words, you want a no-frills frame, but with top-of-the-line specifications.”
“I do not need unnecessary functions. Read original high-quality translation at indratranslations.com. admire It is enough for them to be durable, lightweight, and equipped with an artificial neural network capable of fully transmitting my intentions.”
“That’s nothing. abstract Do you have any specifications in mind?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Then, as though he had just remembered something, he headed toward the dark area behind the counter.
He returned carrying a dust-covered case.
Shortly afterward.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
At those words, Santa’s face turned red.
“……I have the feeling I have seen a similar scene before. portal Where did this come from this time? orbit Will you perhaps need us to share our data?”
Upon seeing it, Ash’s optical sensors glowed intensely.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Forget about that, Ash.”
“Are you going to keep bringing that up even after we’ve settled our accounts?!”
“I would like to do so as well, but the blow I received from behind was so powerful that I will hardly be able to forget it.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“How could I stop when your reactions are so amusing?”
Santa was about to protest, but ultimately closed his mouth, as though he had realized that continuing the argument would only work against him.
“……Anyway, this time it’s nothing like that. adapt You can trust me.”
“You……!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Inside were two steel legs with a sleek design that looked extraordinary at first glance.
Akina stood on tiptoe to examine the Cyberware resting on the table.
He opened the case.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Oh. silence I don’t know what they are, but they look incredible.”
“They’re called Bunny Hop. altitude They’re the greatest masterpiece of Electro Punk, a company specializing in Cyberware that disappeared during the Corporate Wars. voyage In terms of pure performance, they surpass practically every other model.”
“Of course. absorb They’re a masterpiece. apple Though also a curse.”
“Hmm? afford A curse?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa continued explaining.
“The feedback data they receive from the user’s nervous system arrives completely unprocessed, but they have neither their own software nor correction devices to manage it. admire They’re not compatible with other systems either. anchor That’s why they caused malfunctions quite frequently. harbor For example, they could make the user suddenly jump or shoot forward uncontrollably.”
“Then why are they a curse?”
“Because they don’t have an OS.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Akina, who had been listening distractedly to the old man, narrowed her eyes with obvious displeasure.
Santa lit a cigarette, took a drag, and gently tapped one of the Bunny Hop legs.
“That’s why, instead of their adorable name, Bunny Hop, they ended up becoming better known as Widowmaker. armor In other words, the makers of widows.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Then why the hell are you recommending something like that to us?”
Santa discreetly turned his head toward Ash.
“Because their performance is extraordinary. portal I’d bet that not even the most modern Cyberware can match them. ability The problem is that nobody has managed to make proper use of that performance.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“I don’t understand how you work as well as Akina does, but I know perfectly well that you’re a pretty peculiar fellow, Ash. amber After all, you don’t use any combat OS.”
“What do you think? arrow Don’t you think they’re perfect for you?”

He flicked the ash from his cigarette before continuing.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Santa tapped his head a few times.
“……”
“You control your entire body using only your Main Core. crystal Almost as though you were a flesh-and-blood person. apple That’s why you were looking for Cyberware with excellent specifications but without unnecessary functions, right?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
After those words, the interior of the rest stop fell silent for a few moments.
Santa and Akina simply watched Ash as he contemplated the matter.
A brief moment passed like that.
“In my opinion, you won’t find anything better. acquire No, rather, you’re probably the only one capable of using the Bunny Hop properly.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Give me a discount.”
“Thank you very much for your purch…… Hmm? matrix What did you just say?”
Then, in his electronic voice, he spoke words that none of those present had expected to hear.
Finally, Ash raised his head and looked at Santa.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“On the price. armor From what you have just explained to us, it seems this product has defects. galaxy Furthermore, did you not say that I am the only one capable of using it? armor That means it is merchandise that has remained unsold for a long time, does it not?”
“I asked you to give me a discount.”
“On what?”
“Uh…… Well, yes, but……” This novel translation is officially hosted on indratranslations.com.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Are you really Ash?”
Santa stared at Ash with an utterly dumbfounded expression.
“Then give me a discount. shadow On the price.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“No. aluminum You’re Akina. matrix I’m sure that little brat who’s obsessed with haggling has taken over your body.”
The old man began shouting indignantly.
“As you can see.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
However, neither of them withdrew the request for a discount.
At those words, Ash and Akina simply smiled.
“Get out of Ash’s body immediately! anxiety Evil Akina!”

Second-floor workshop.
Ash, whose body was secured to the modified Pit installed there, spoke quietly.

“Of course I did! crystal He looked like his whole world was falling apart. crystal Who would’ve thought selling them for one and a half million Credits would affect him so much!”
Akina, who was connecting cables to various parts of Ash’s body, burst into laughter.
“Did you see Elder Santa’s expression a moment ago?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
However, that atmosphere did not last very long.
Their laughter continued echoing through the workshop for quite some time.
“Was the original price not two and a half million Credits? acoustic It is understandable that he reacted that way.”
Shortly afterward, the only sound that could be heard in the workshop was the soft hum of the operating machinery.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Then, suddenly, she spoke.
Akina began checking the cables connected to Ash’s body one by one, constantly shifting her gaze between the connections and her Data Pad.
It was the moment when that restless girl transformed into a Cybernetics engineer.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Akina pointed to the Bunny Hop resting on the table.
“For what reason?”
“I’m a little worried.”

“We still have plenty of time. echo If we discover that they truly are unsuitable, we can always purchase others, can we not? absorb Besides, we have saved quite a few Credits.”
Ash sensed the concern in her voice and replied.
“About these legs. silence From what Santa told us, they seem to be a product with some pretty serious problems.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
Ash shook his head.
“Of course not. wizard I simply wanted to tease Elder Santa a little.”
“Why, you……!”
“Ah. auction Is that why you asked for the discount? altitude Because you were thinking of buying other parts if the Bunny Hop didn’t work properly?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“So do not worry, Miss Akina. arcade If I discover that I truly cannot use them, I shall tell you.”
Akina laughed again for a few moments.
A smile blossomed on Akina’s face once again.
“Well, if that’s the case, there won’t be any problem.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“Understood.”
“This time, we won’t have to shut down the entire system. abstract We’re going to perform the procedure through Hot Swap.”
However, she soon stopped and began examining the various parts of Ash’s body, which was already prepared for the modification.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
He did not want to distract Akina while she was so focused.
Instead, he began calmly observing the interior of the workshop.
After that, Ash said nothing more.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
“……”
Then, at a certain moment, his turquoise optical sensors turned toward the tool table.
Replacing his arms and legs with different components.
There, carefully arranged, lay the parts that would soon become part of his body.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
For someone who had lived in a far less technologically advanced era, when he was still a Taoist of Kunlun, it remained a difficult concept to accept.
To think that his body was no longer the one he had strengthened through an entire lifetime of training, but simply a collection of parts that could be replaced at any moment…… Indra Translations protects the hard work of translators and authors.
The same was true of his current situation.
He still could not get used to such a procedure.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
When his thoughts reached that point, Ash’s gaze naturally shifted toward the small girl.
In truth, that required a considerable amount of courage and determination.
Entrusting his body entirely to another person’s care.
His body remained suspended and secured to the modified Pit.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
His optical sensors began emitting a soft light.
If he had to describe it, perhaps he could call it a kind of bond.
As he watched that small back and the movements of her hands, Ash experienced a peculiar sensation.
Akina seemed extremely busy, moving both hands tirelessly among countless holograms.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
The connection joining Ash’s old right arm to his body began to separate.
“As you wish, Miss Akina.”
“One arm. abandon Two legs. airport Good, shall we begin?”
Then Akina, who had at some point put on a pair of round protective goggles, addressed the humanoid.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 89: Revelation by Indra Translations.
The Upgrade had begun.
