Hundreds of panels opened simultaneously in the walls and ceiling, revealing an army of Sentinels.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Some fell directly from the ceiling and shattered upon striking the ground.
Perhaps because of the immeasurable amount of time that had passed, many of those Sentinels were deteriorated or partially destroyed.
Others did not even have all their legs and advanced with a limp.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
They all advanced toward the same place while repeating that monotonous, chilling electronic voice in unison.
Their target was a stone altar that rose like a triangular pyramid.
However, the red lights glowing in their optical sensors remained intact.

And, more specifically, Akina, who floated above its summit as though she were an offering intended for sacrifice.
The four Pathfinders who had taken positions around her raised their respective weapons.
However, Akina was not alone.
“Kill them all!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Dragon Breath, Ifrit’s weapon, began spewing flames.
And the Vortex Gauss Rifle wielded by Dullahan traced a luminous line as it pierced enemies positioned at great distances.
Jack O’Lantern’s grenade launcher unleashed a succession of explosions.
All those gunshots and explosions combined into a deafening roar that made the entire plaza tremble.

From time to time, some Sentinels managed to break through the network of fire laid down by Ifrit and ROA and began climbing the altar.
SLASH!
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Ash’s steel Blade, which had suddenly appeared, traced a straight line.
“Brother Ash!”
The Sentinel Walker struck by that trajectory was split in two and rolled down to the foot of the altar.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Ash reacted without even stopping to think and split in two the Sentinel Walker that had gotten too close to Jack.
Even during that brief instant, an uncountable number of Sentinel Walkers continued climbing the altar.
There was no time for thanks or to check how the others were doing.
At that moment, Jack O’Lantern called out to him.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Ash moved from one end of the structure to the other again, his Gore-Tex coat billowing behind him.
Every time an explosion or a dangerous situation appeared on screen, the number of viewers increased uncontrollably.
The broadcasting drones fluttering around the area diligently recorded everything that happened.

“Hahahaha! album Good! acoustic This is awesome!”
It was a desperate battle in which their lives were at stake every instant.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
And four Pathfinders fighting desperately to stop them.
An endless army of Sentinels advancing toward an altar rising above the terrain.
Even the setting was perfect.
But, at the same time, it was also an extraordinarily exciting spectacle.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“Hahahaha! timber They’re nothing special! afford At this rate, we could hold out until tomorrow!”
“Come on! orbit Come on, you sons of bitches!”
At some point, Ifrit began pulling the trigger while letting out crazed laughter.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Electric-Qi Sense, Ash’s electromagnetic sense, detected an intense killing intent.
‘……!’
It was precisely when Jack responded to Ifrit’s crazed shouts.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Without even having time to warn the others, Ash employed the principles of Flying Dragon Shrinks the Earth and placed himself in front of Dullahan.
[Hey, wait, don’t block my vi……]
It bore no resemblance whatsoever to the mechanical, emotionless hostility of the Sentinels.
It was a viscous, penetrating killing intent that seemed to give off an unpleasant, bloody stench.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
A bullet fired from an unknown location had just struck it.
Just as that message appeared on his visor, a shower of sparks flew from the steel Blade Ash had raised diagonally.
CLAAAAANG!
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
[What the fuck.]
The projectile’s enormous kinetic energy caused Ash’s body to stagger for an instant.
As that profanity appeared on Dullahan’s visor, Ash shouted.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
However, that attack from an unknown source did not end there.
“There’s a sniper!”
Ash hurriedly regained his balance and raised his Blade again.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
The precision shots continued arriving one after another.
Perhaps because he was responsible for long-range attacks within the team.

The enemy seemed determined to attack Dullahan exclusively.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
The sound of bullets striking their cover continued without interruption.
As soon as they understood the situation, everyone took shelter behind the improvised barricades.
“Dullahan!”
“Damn it!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
[Shit! armor There’s too much interference.]
After that unpleasant sound spread for a few moments, Dullahan shook his head.
Dullahan activated his usual sonic resonance device.
[OK.]
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“Damn it! meadow They’re attacking us while we’re doing a Deep Dive? alert This has to be the work of another Society. riddle Those fucking sons of bitches!”
The electronic voices of the Sentinels, the explosions, and the gunfire had rendered his sonic resonance device useless.
Ifrit struck the ground in frustration.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“What do you mean, what do we do?! atlas Dullahan! atomic Try it aga……!”
It was precisely then.
“I shall go.”
“What do we do, Noona?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“……Are you serious? atlas You’re planning to go eliminate a sniper with a sword?”
“I have managed to determine the enemy’s approximate position. orbit If I can get close enough, I shall be able to deal with him.”
Ash spoke.

“We do not have time, heroine.”
Finally, she nodded with a determined expression.
Ifrit held the gaze of the turquoise optical sensors watching her.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“I know it sounds crazy, but for some reason, I think you could pull it off. arrow We’ll cover you. antenna Go and come back as quickly as possible.”
Ifrit roared.
That was enough.
Ash responded with a brief nod.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Jack sprang to his feet, imitating Ash’s manner of speaking.
“Jack! airport Fire absolutely everything you’ve got!”
“Hahahaha! attic You don’t have to tell me twice!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
A succession of dull thuds accompanied the launching of explosive projectiles in every direction.
Then he aimed his grenade launcher in the direction from which the shots had come and began firing in bursts.
“Eat this, you fucking little shits!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“Ash! arena Now!”
It was a veritable rain of concentrated fire.
The small cylindrical grenades began detonating one after another.
Ifrit and Dullahan also stood up and pulled the triggers of their weapons in that direction.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
The grenades fired by Jack O’Lantern and the incendiary projectiles from Dragon Breath, Ifrit’s weapon, exploded everywhere.
BOOM! airport BOOM! matrix BOOM!
And Ash launched himself directly into it.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
After leaping from the altar, Ash swung his Blade in a wide arc and eliminated all the Sentinels surrounding him in a single movement.
The flames and smoke concealed Ash’s figure as he advanced at full speed.

Even at that instant, the Sentinels continued advancing in such enormous numbers that there was barely any space left to set foot on the ground.
Then his optical sensors flashed.
However, those were only a small fraction.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Then he began using the heads and shoulders of the Sentinels advancing like a tide to propel himself from one to another.
Ash activated the Neuro Heart Technique at maximum power and launched himself forward.
If there was no space to step on the ground, he would simply have to stop stepping on it.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Once again, he sensed that familiar killing intent.
Straight toward the sniper.
However, this time the attack was not directed at Dullahan.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
His body traversed the battlefield along winding trajectories, resembling the movements of a living dragon.
He stepped on the heads of the Sentinel Walkers while simultaneously avoiding the sniper’s attacks. Read original high-quality translation at indratranslations.com.
Its target was Ash himself.
Instead of raising his sword to deflect the shot, Ash decided to push Dragon Form Step to its limits to evade it.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
At one point, Ash leaped high into the air.
If moving as though flying over grass was called Grass Flying, and running across water was known as Water Flying, what should this technique be called?
Since he was advancing by using an army of machines as stepping stones, perhaps the most appropriate name would be Iron Flying.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
It was one of the numerous corridors connected to the altar.
BOOOOM!
Then he descended sharply toward a specific point, as though diving.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Then he slowly straightened up amid a small cloud of dust.
“I shall warn you in advance.”
Ash deliberately landed with such force that the ground rumbled beneath his feet.
His optical sensors flashed as he observed the individuals glaring at him with hostility.

He raised his sword.
It was a declaration.
“The situation is too urgent for me to hold back my attacks. shadow I hope you will bear that in mind.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
However, the apparent leader of the Pathfinders gave a disdainful snort.
A declaration that he would kill everyone there.
In truth, describing that sound as a snort was not entirely accurate.
“What the fuck is this piece-of-shit tin can talking about?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
One of them had four enormous metallic legs resembling those of a spider instead of conventional legs.
The Pathfinders who had appeared before Ash possessed grotesque bodies, modified to such an extent that they barely retained a human appearance.
After all, that individual did not even have a nose.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Another moved several mechanical arms protruding from his spine.
There was also a man who had torn off his face to install an enormous optical sensor in its place.
It was evident that they belonged to another Society.
And another had transformed one of his arms into a gigantic firearm.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Meanwhile, the individual who appeared to be the leader gave an order.
“Eliminate him.”
Their appearance was completely different from that of Halloween, where physical beauty was generally given priority.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
They did not charge at Ash.
And, naturally, they were all firearms. This novel translation is officially hosted on indratranslations.com.
Instead, they covered the relatively narrow corridor with an enormous network of crossfire.
At that brief instruction, the grotesque-looking Pathfinders raised their weapons simultaneously.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
However, their opponent was Ash.
He raised his sword with absolute ease.
Firepower so devastating that it would have turned any opponent into a mass of mangled flesh within seconds.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
The humanoid swordsman began to run.
At the same time, a burst of blue sparks erupted across the ground beneath his feet.
CRACKLE!
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
He also used the walls.
And the ceiling.
But he was not pushing off solely from the ground.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
With every movement, his black Gore-Tex coat billowed behind him, forming a dark trail that confused the eye.
As though he had escaped the influence of gravity, he used every surface of the narrow corridor as a foothold to close in on his enemies in an instant.
“What the he……!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
No.
Ash’s sword began to dance.
It was unleashed like a storm.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
He became the first victim without even having a chance to demonstrate the capabilities of his Cyberware.
The first was the man with spider legs.
“Agh!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Ash severed two of his legs with a single blow.
That brief cry of agony became his final words.
Then he swung his sword in a wide arc and plunged the Blade into the area of his heart.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Next was the individual who had transformed his right arm into a firearm.
He raised his enormous barrel and attempted to aim at Ash.
He was probably the Pathfinder who had been shooting at Dullahan.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
However, that was impossible.

SLASH!
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
He did not even have a chance to scream.
The heavy weapon fell to the ground with a dull thud.
By the time he decided to do so, his modified arm had already been cleanly severed below the shoulder.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Since bullets could not hit him, he seemed determined to confront him in hand-to-hand combat.
“You fucking son of a bitch!”
While he stared in horror at the place where his arm had been, Ash’s sword had already moved again and cleanly severed his neck.
A man with numerous arms, resembling a centipede, charged at him.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
His left arm went flying.
Ash watched the approaching man and swung his sword.
It was a terribly mistaken decision. Indra Translations protects the hard work of translators and authors.
After all, if those arms could not move faster than bullets, there was no possibility that they would manage to catch Ash.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
Then Ash swung it again.
And then again.
Ash attacked once.
This time, he lost his right arm.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
His body was divided into dozens of fragments, an unrecognizable mixture of machinery and flesh that fell to the ground with wet sounds.
The one-eyed man, who for some reason had ended up being the only survivor, began repeatedly adjusting the aperture of his optical sensor, as though he could not believe what was happening.
Everything had happened in the blink of an eye.
Before that merciless succession of chained slashes, the centipede-like man ended up losing everything he possessed.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
At those murmured words, Ash took a step forward without answering.
Those movements resembled the trembling of a terrified eye.
“Damn it…… What the hell are you……?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
His intention was to end the last survivor’s life as well.
“W-Wait! shadow Wait a moment!”
He simply raised the sword he held in his hand.
Ash did not wait.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“I had already warned you.”
Blood, oil, and a thick coolant fluid gushed from inside his divided body.
The blade immediately descended and split the man in two.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
After eliminating the four enemies in a matter of seconds, Ash lightly shook his sword to dislodge the oil and blood clinging to the blade.
“I would not hold back my attacks.”
Then, without hesitating for even an instant, he launched himself back toward the altar.
It was precisely then.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
A heart-rending scream struck his ears.
Ash adjusted his optical sensors and magnified the image of the altar.
— AAAAAAAAAH!
And the one who had let it out was none other than Akina.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
The pain seemed so unbearable that the girl desperately clutched her head with both hands while continuing to scream.
Akina’s body, which should have remained floating peacefully amid a bluish mist, was suffering horrific convulsions.
And her eyes, which had previously been blue, now shone with a golden light.
Translation of Cyberpunk Swordsman - Chapter 29: EP.1 The Butterfly Dream 2 by Indra Translations.
“MISS AKINA!”
Ash let out a shout so thunderous that it resembled the roar of an enraged beast.
It was evident that something had gone terribly wrong.
Then he rushed toward the altar at full speed.
