Chapter 41

Part of Mo Haein’s hair vanished without a trace.

My hand knocked the Rabbit Butler’s wrist aside.

It was by the narrowest of margins.

Before my brain could process what was happening, my body moved first.

But she hadn’t died.

It was a burn caused by the intense heat.

The beam barely grazed her cheek, leaving behind a thin red line.

Mo Haein was still alive.

But an instant later, a chill ran down my spine.

After confirming that she had survived, I let out a huge sigh of relief.

The instinctive terror emanating from the being standing right behind me weighed down my entire body.

The Rabbit Butler remained behind me as he asked,

“Why?”

“Gunbam.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The Butlers hated the cleaners.

Even the Footmen, who had once been cleaners themselves before being hired by the mansion, looked down on them with contempt.

That brief question conveyed nothing but genuine confusion.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Of the two, the Cat Butler was relatively more tolerant because of his refined tastes.

More precisely, he simply couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to something he considered little more than trash.

They had no value beyond that.

To them, cleaners were nothing more than fuel used to maintain the mansion.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The only reason I was still alive was because my Affinity with him was extremely high.

If a cleaner irritated him even slightly, he eliminated them without the slightest hesitation.

From his point of view, what I had just done made absolutely no sense.

The Rabbit Butler, on the other hand, openly expressed his disgust.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

And losing Affinity would be the least of my problems.

‘I would have already been absorbed by the mansion with a hole through my forehead.’

If I answered badly here, my Affinity would plummet.

Otherwise, the moment I had touched his wrist.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

I carefully searched for an answer.

One that wouldn’t come too late.

The Rabbit Butler turned me to face him.

This time, Mo Haein really could become fuel for the mansion. All translations belong to Indra Translations. You can find us online at indratranslations.com

“Gunbam. beacon It’s okay.”

As he spoke, he gently patted my shoulder.

Looking directly at me, he spoke slowly.

“A Butler. beacon Makes mistakes. airport I won’t be angry.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

He looked exactly like an excellent mentor reassuring a rookie after making a mistake.

Thanks to that, I managed to buy myself a little more time.

It was as though he were telling me to calm down and explain myself.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“She seemed quite capable. acoustic I thought she might deserve one more chance. academy I also thought it might not be a bad idea for the mansion to have a maid.”

I answered as calmly as I could.

Looking at the Rabbit Butler, I continued.

But I couldn’t finish.

“I thought that perhaps someday the Master might receive a mistress in the—”

His long ears swayed back and forth as he laughed.

The Rabbit Butler burst into loud laughter.

“Hahaha!”

After laughing for quite a while, he suddenly stopped.

Everyone else remained silent.

As a result, his laughter echoed throughout the entire mansion.

The ear bent gently beneath the movement of his fingers.

“Gunbam. august You were human.”

With one hand, he adjusted one of his metallic ears.

I couldn’t understand what he meant.

Then he gestured toward Mo Haein.

The Rabbit Butler watched me for a moment before looking away.

“You. galaxy Go to the basement.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“…Thank you.”

Mo Haein replied in a trembling voice while biting her lip.

She staggered a little, but managed to walk away.

She struggled to her feet.

Kwak Hanmuk watched her leave before reluctantly heading off in the opposite direction.

“Yes.”

“Let’s get back to work.”

I could feel the Rabbit Butler’s gaze fixed on me.

“■■, ■■■■, and ■… head to the basement.”

I didn’t look back at Mo Haein.

As though the interest I had shown earlier had never existed, I calmly assigned work areas to the next group of cleaners.

Under the Rabbit Butler’s supervision, I finished assigning work areas to every cleaner.

If I could have chosen, I would have preferred not to eat.

But that wasn’t an option.

By the time I was done, it was already dinner time.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Even though I only took a single bite of everything they served me, I ended up eating until I felt like I was about to burst.

And to make matters worse.

Following the Rabbit Butler’s and Cat Butler’s orders, they kept piling more food onto my plate.

Two Footmen attended to me throughout the entire meal.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The food was genuinely delicious.

“It was a little difficult.”

The Cat Butler asked me what I thought of my first day as a Butler.

“It’s your first time serving as a Butler, Gunbam. timber What did you think?”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Of course, I didn’t forget to flatter them either.

So I pretended it had been exhausting.

If I admitted that I’d enjoyed it, they might ask me to continue working as a Butler.

“It made me realize just how extraordinary the Butlers who manage this great mansion truly are.”

The Cat Butler was delighted.

“Gunbam, you always know exactly how to brighten our day!”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The more I ate,

the better I felt.

After that, we talked about many things.

I began to feel better as well.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Just as I had expected, neither of them mentioned the new cleaners even once.

Most of it was light conversation about the mansion. Read original high-quality translation at indratranslations.com.

I gave up any hope of hearing anything about Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

I also learned that when the Master returned, they were planning to renovate the mansion with a more modern style.

Instead, I discovered that the mansion currently had twelve Footmen.

Although there were many of them, none possessed the qualities necessary to become a Butler.

“After all, trends have changed tremendously since the last time the Master lived here!”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Now that I had become a Butler, I wanted to meet the Master before leaving CCC.

‘I wonder when he’ll finally come back.’

It sounded as though the Master had been gone for at least a hundred years.

Even if I was only a temporary employee.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

He had always been one of the characters who intrigued me the most.

The Cat Butler had a Footman refill my glass with red wine.

A little more, and I would have felt like my stomach was about to burst.

Out of courtesy, I took a sip.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The Cat Butler looked at me as if asking whether that was true.

I answered honestly.

“Gunbam is human. arctic He can’t eat any more.”

Fortunately, the Rabbit Butler came to my rescue.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“I’m full…”

The Butlers, who had been enjoying the banquet alongside me, set down their utensils at the same time.

“My apologies! armor I wasn’t considerate enough.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The Butlers had eaten exactly the same amount that I had.

It was almost as if…

As I glanced at their plates, I noticed something.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

‘Did they do it just to keep me company?’

They didn’t actually need to eat.

It was a little strange that beings with metal heads would eat in the first place.

Although, come to think of it.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

When the banquet ended, the Butlers escorted me to my room.

“Gunbam. apple Go to bed early tonight.”

“It was a very pleasant evening.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Click.

“Yes. action Have a good night.”

“……”

After politely saying goodbye and watching them leave, I closed the door.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

I leaned my back against the closed door and squeezed my eyes shut.

I was alone.

Finally.

I didn’t even dare let out a real sigh.

The Butlers could still be nearby.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Normally, cleaners weren’t given accommodations inside the mansion.

‘Everything has turned out completely differently than I expected.’

They had to find a way to spend the night in whatever area had been assigned to them.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Of all the types of Creatures inhabiting the mansion, the fiercest and most difficult ones constantly appeared there.

As darkness fell, screams echoed throughout the mansion.

Nighttime was when the Creatures truly began to move.

The basement, where Mo Haein had been assigned, was the most dangerous area in the entire mansion.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Surviving the night alone would already be difficult.

Of course, considering Mo Haein’s ability and the Ray Gun I had managed to get into her hands, dealing with the Creatures wouldn’t be a problem.

A cleaner couldn’t leave their assigned area until every Creature there had been eliminated.

Even so.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The last time I had seen Mo Haein, she hadn’t been in good condition, so I also wanted to check whether she was all right.

That meant searching for other people was practically impossible.

‘In the end, Captain Kwak and I will have to figure out Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno’s location on our own.’

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

More importantly, I wasn’t even sure whether I was allowed to leave the guest room.

I had already attracted far too much attention today by saving Mo Haein.

But the other areas were also infested with Creatures, so it wouldn’t be easy for just the two of us to move around quickly.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

’…Wait.’

Even if I came up with a convincing excuse, they might connect it to what had happened earlier and it could cause me trouble.

The best outcome would be for Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno to come find me in the guest room himself.

And if they caught me outside the guest room.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

As a test, I tried using the ability I needed the most right now.

Suddenly, I remembered something I hadn’t considered until now.

‘Message.’

Even though the system windows had disappeared, perhaps my abilities were still intact.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

So I sent it immediately. This novel translation is officially hosted on indratranslations.com.

No system window appeared.

‘Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno. amber Please come to the guest room on the third floor of the East Wing.’

However, for some reason, I was certain that I could send a Message to Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

After walking back and forth for a while.

Now all that was left was to wait and see whether it had actually reached him.

Meanwhile, I began pacing around the room, trying to organize my thoughts. admire The situation had become complicated from every angle, and my mind was a complete mess.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Clack.

Clack.

I heard an extremely faint sound.

Clack.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

It was so faint that it could easily have been mistaken for the wind.

I ran to the window and opened it.

But the person I had called wasn’t someone who traveled in ordinary ways.

Most people would have ignored it.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

A gasp escaped me.

“…Ah!”

Then I looked down.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

The moment our eyes met, a smiling face appeared on his glasses.

Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno was climbing the wall.

His metal hand rested gently on the windowsill.

Apparently, he had climbed the wall because spreading his wings would have been too conspicuous and risked exposing himself.

He even added a musical note to one side before reaching the third floor in the blink of an eye.

Although the frame looked like it was made of wood, it somehow supported the weight of his metal hand without suffering the slightest damage.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno. meadow Please come inside, quickly.”

He could be spotted by a Creature or, if we were unlucky, by the Rabbit Butler or the Cat Butler.

Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno sat on the windowsill and simply stared at me.

He had arrived silently, but staying by the window wasn’t a good idea.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

That sudden question made me realize I was still wearing the Butler uniform.

“What are you?”

But he had no intention of entering.

Instead, he asked,

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“Goyo.”

Before his metal hand could tear me apart, I hurriedly explained the situation.

“For various reasons, they hired me as a Butler instead of a cleaner.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno raised his glasses onto the top of his head.

“I received a quest.”

“Yes?”

Clack.

“…”

“It says to rescue you.”

His golden irises were revealed.

I was speechless. Indra Translations protects the hard work of translators and authors.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

I had no idea why a quest that had absolutely nothing to do with the Trial had appeared.

Rescue me?

After all, I wasn’t even getting any system windows myself.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“Even though I’m a Butler now, it’s really no different from being hired as a cleaner. apron We agreed that I’d only work here for seven days.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know why that quest appeared, but it doesn’t make any sense anyway.”

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

“It was an agreement I reached after talking with the Butlers.”

The moment I finished answering, Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno’s golden eyes slowly curved.

“Who told you that?”

After listening to me, Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno tilted his head slightly to one side.

Translation of I’m a Young God, Won’t You Raise Me? - Chapter 41 by Indra Translations.

I hesitated for a moment before answering.

Then he asked,

“And you believed them?”

Lieutenant Colonel Je Hyuno slowly raised one hand.

“An NPC from a Trial tells you something…”

“…I don’t understand what you mean.”

“You’re so naïve, Goyo.”

His metal hand lightly tapped my chest.

“And you believe every word without questioning it.”
