Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4
The blue emergency lights flickered inside the hideout.
Moreover, three of them had still not regained consciousness and had to remain lying down, which further reduced the available space.
Although the place was suitable for hiding, it was rather cramped for six people.

He began wandering alone through the ruins of the old water purification facility.
For that reason, Ash decided to leave the hideout.
Occasionally, between the grotesquely protruding steel structures, he could glimpse the landscape of Underland.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
It was completely different from the splendid nighttime views of Sanctum.
That place possessed a strange ability to instill an inexplicable melancholy even in those who merely gazed upon it.
A gloomy underground city.

At a certain point, Ash stopped.
There stood a man.
Then he turned his head and looked behind him.
How long had he been walking?

“They’ve regained consciousness. attic And…… they recognized me.”
It was Zero, the Ninja wearing the tiger mask.
Apparently, the Kill Switch had worked correctly.
“How are your younger brothers and sisters?”

Then he bowed his head deeply, to the point that his face seemed about to touch the ground.
At those words, spoken in Ash’s deep electronic voice, Zero took a step forward.
“Thank you, Ash.” All translations belong to Indra Translations. You can find us online at indratranslations.com
“Excellent. action I am glad to hear that.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
However, those few words contained countless emotions.
The joy of having recovered his younger brothers and sisters.
A brief expression of gratitude.
The gratitude toward the person who had helped him.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Zero remained bowed for quite some time.
And, above all, the relief that accompanied both emotions.
“Truly…… thank you so much.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“It is curious how extraordinarily polite you are.”
Ash, who had been watching him, suddenly let out a soft laugh.
“Hmm.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Ash looked away and continued.
Only then did Zero raise his head and approach Ash.
“Excuse me?”
“If you do not mind, how about we take a walk together?”

They simply wandered through the ruins, occasionally gazing at the lights of Underland shining between the exposed metal structures.
For quite some time, neither of them spoke.
“I’ll accompany you.”

Until, at a certain point, Ash broke the silence.
“You gave me quite a fright earlier. echo And that was despite already having some idea of what might happen.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Zero briefly recalled that moment.
“What do you mean?”
“When you pierced your younger brother’s heart.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“I do not recall telling you to pierce his heart.”
“Hehe. meadow That’s true.”
“That was also thanks to you. academy If I hadn’t heard your words, I probably would have continued hesitating.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
However, he immediately lowered his head in gratitude.
“It was an impeccable thrust. antenna A sharp attack containing the very essence of Cloud Sea Opening. palette Moreover, you kept your center of gravity perfectly stable.”
“Thank you for the compliment……”
Zero tilted his head slightly, as he did not know what Cloud Sea Opening meant.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Zero also stopped walking.
Ash stopped.
“And speaking of that.”
“We still have an unfinished conversation, do we not?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Are you referring to Kunlun-Combat?”
The two swordsmen stood facing each other for a few moments.
He simply continued watching him in silence.
Ash did not answer.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“……”
“As you can see, I currently have plenty of time. atlas And you, having rescued all your younger brothers and sisters, do as well. anxiety Does this not seem like the perfect moment for a long conversation?”
“……It could be quite a long story. alien Do you mind?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“You’re right.”
After a brief pause, Zero nodded.
Then he removed the thing he had been wearing all that time.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
His tiger mask.
Psssh.
Zero raised his head after taking off the mask. Visit indratranslations.com for more free chapters and updates.
A sound resembling the removal of a gas mask filter echoed through the air.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
The face that had been revealed possessed certain features far too strange to describe merely as handsome.
His skin was an extremely pale grayish shade, almost as white as a corpse’s.
And faint bluish veins could be distinguished beneath that skin.
“Well……”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
His dark red eyes.
Completely black sclera surrounded blackish-red irises that seemed to burn.
However, there was something that attracted Ash’s attention above every other feature.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“……Grotesque?”
They were exactly the same eyes he had seen in the Grotesques of the Outer, those creatures that lost their reason and emitted monstrous howls.
At that question, Zero gave a bitter smile.
“I couldn’t say no.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Could you…… explain?”
“Of course. afford That’s precisely why I removed my mask.”

Zero caressed the tiger mask he had just removed.
“My younger brothers and sisters and I are experimental subjects. agent Experimental subjects who escaped from an Omni-Cell Biotech laboratory.”
“To be more precise, we’re humans artificially cultivated by combining human genetic material with that of Grotesques. armor Yes. alpha We were born in a laboratory.”
His dark red eyes turned toward Ash.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Ash let out an exclamation of astonishment at that revelation.
“My goodness……”
“For that reason, there are many differences between us and normal humans. ability For example, something like this, which surprised you so much.”
After speaking those words, Zero partially unsheathed the Blade at his waist.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Without the slightest change in expression, as though he felt no pain whatsoever, Zero extended the hand from which he had just severed a finger.
His index finger fell to the ground.
He placed one of his fingers against the edge and made a quick cut.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
At the surface of the cut, muscle fibers had already begun intertwining, producing grotesque sounds as they formed new bone tissue and skin.
Had even a minute passed?
“In reality, something like this is nothing.”
Zero’s finger had recovered its original shape, as though it had never suffered any injury.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
‘This world is truly incomprehensible.’
Ash was left speechless for a few moments.
It was not enough for them to replace their entire bodies with machinery.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
At that moment, a question suddenly crossed his Main Core, and Ash decided to speak.
Now they were also combining human beings with Grotesques.
Although Ash had seen and experienced so many things since arriving in that world that he was beginning to believe he had grown accustomed to it, he had never witnessed anything like this.

At those words, Zero shrugged.
“However, I still do not understand what any of this has to do with swordsmanship.” Read original high-quality translation at indratranslations.com.
“You’re not wrong.”
“……It seems you were born with a rather unfortunate fate. adopt I very much doubt your life has been filled with happy moments.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Then what do you think they were trying to experiment with on us?”
“I remember.”
“As I mentioned a moment ago, we’re experimental subjects.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Didn’t they accomplish that a long time ago?”
“Naturally, the combination of humans and Grotesques……”
He was right.
Zero pointed at himself.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Zero swept his long hair back and began speaking slowly.
Zero himself, standing before him, was proof of that success.
“Exactly.”
“……So there was an even more important objective.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Omni-Cell made countless attempts. aspect They created artificially cultivated humans mixed with Grotesques, like my younger brothers and sisters and me. sphere They also manufactured cyborgs whose bodies had been completely replaced with machinery, to the point that their very identities had become blurred. auction They even experimented on completely natural humans who didn’t possess so much as a data implantation slot.”
“The purpose of our existence was to achieve the perfect reproduction of Kunlun-Combat.”
Despite the confusion beginning to overwhelm him, Ash listened carefully to every word.
“……!”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Perhaps thanks to the sacrifice of so many people, Omni-Cell finally achieved certain results. adopt They managed to reproduce Kunlun-Combat to some extent.”
“Like you?”

“The results recorded in the original data…… From what you are saying, it seems that this Kunlun-Combat did not originally belong to Omni-Cell.”
He had discovered something important in Zero’s words.
“Yes. anxiety However, the researchers always said it was still insufficient. shadow That it wasn’t the true Kunlun-Combat. acoustic That the results differed from the values recorded in the original data.”
At that instant, Ash’s optical sensors flashed.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Evidently, he had never imagined that Ash would manage to identify that detail from such a brief conversation.
“……Yes. silence You’re right. anchor Kunlun-Combat wasn’t created by Omni-Cell. avalanche It’s data belonging to an ancient civilization, discovered in the Outer.”
“The Outer……!”
Zero’s eyes widened.

Faced with the urgency of Ash’s question, Zero shook his head with a helpless expression.

Until, at a certain moment, he raised his head and addressed Zero.
“I was nothing more than one of their experimental subjects, so my knowledge is quite limited. anchor All I know is that Omni-Cell discovered some ruins called ‘Kunlun’ and extracted their Nexus. anchor That’s how they obtained Kunlun-Combat, a technique possessing extraordinary destructive power.”
He remained motionless and silent for a long while.
At those words, Ash’s turquoise optical sensors began blinking rapidly.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Of course. adapt Go ahead.”
“Are there many people like you?”
“Would you mind answering a few questions?”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“If you’re referring to the experimental subjects, yes. abandon There are many. legend The laboratory I escaped from was truly enormous.”
Zero nodded.
“Did all of them learn what you call…… Kunlun-Combat?”
“That’s right. atom However, there were differences between the techniques each of us learned. ability Kunlun-Combat is divided into levels according to difficulty.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Levels……? zenith Then what level were the Thirteen Cloud Dragon Swords that you learned?”
However, he immediately answered Ash’s question sincerely.
Zero tilted his head slightly, as he did not recognize the name Thirteen Cloud Dragon Swords.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Ash’s optical sensors shone with an intensity never seen before.
“Level 1…… I see. wizard Then, my next question.”
“Level 1.”
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Zero moved his eyes from side to side for a few moments, trying to remember.
Finally, he shook his head.
“Have you ever heard of internal energy, or Neigong?”
“Internal energy?”

Ash’s Main Core began operating at tremendous speed. Indra Translations protects the hard work of translators and authors.
“……I see. apron So that was it.”
“This is the first time I’ve heard that term.”

‘Third. crystal However, they are unaware of the existence of internal energy. acquire That is why they conducted all kinds of experiments. arch They were trying to find another source of power capable of fulfilling the function of internal energy and thus perfectly reproduce the martial arts of Kunlun.’

‘Second. acid They obtained the martial arts of Kunlun that were stored within that Nexus.’

‘But how? agent How is it possible for the martial arts of Kunlun to exist in this world? album And for them to have been stored in a Nexus Port found among some ruins? arcade That should not be possible……’
At that instant, a memory suddenly flashed through his Main Core.
His thoughts continued to deepen.
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
— Hehe! apple Because I prepared a present!
A young girl named Nangrang.
— Hehe. altitude Don’t be surprised, all right? riddle Well, you can be surprised, but not too much!
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
She was the one who appeared in that memory.

A gift prepared especially for him.
It was a gift.
‘Could it be……?’
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
Ash was profoundly shaken.
It was a hypothesis that had never occurred to him.
His optical sensors began blinking violently.
‘Is it possible that the occasion when I awoke and met that young girl was not actually the first time I opened my eyes in this world?’
Translation of Cyberpunk Chivalry - Chapter 50: EP.2 Sea of Corpses and Blood 4 by Indra Translations.
“Ash?”
“Are you all right?”
If that were true, then the ruins called ‘Kunlun’ that Omni-Cell had discovered……

“……I am fine.”
Zero shifted his dark red eyes until he was looking directly at Ash.

“Now it’s your turn to answer.”
“……”

Ash remained silent for a long while.
Finally, after a considerable amount of time, he managed to raise his head.
“Could you explain why you said such a thing?”
His optical sensors blinked intensely as he went over the conversation they had just had again and again.

The words Ash spoke next in his electronic voice were as unbelievable as he had warned.
“That doesn’t matter.”
“……Very well. adjust Then I shall tell you.”
