However, one day, videos of Goyo’s matches started appearing in her MTube algorithm.

She even marked several times that she wasn’t interested in that kind of content, but, due to some strange error, they kept appearing over and over again.

One day, without realizing it, she found herself staring at the thumbnail.

As she pressed the [Not Interested] option for what felt like the hundredth time.

After seeing it so many times, that face had started to look familiar.

‘He’s pretty handsome.’

‘Could it be because he’s too short?’

If he had been an idol or an actor, she would have considered making him an ambassador for one of the group’s companies.

With a face like that, he should have gone into the entertainment industry instead of playing video games.

For the first time, Kang Byeokrin played one of his videos.

‘What? artist Why aren’t they showing the player?’

With a face like that, it was the only explanation she could think of for why he wasn’t a celebrity.

“Goyo! athlete Goyo! antenna Goyooooo!!! acquire This is impossible! palette Player Goyo has absolutely no intention of losing! shadow It’s absolutely impossible for him to lose!”

As she skipped through the video, the commentator kept repeating the same name over and over.

Her curiosity piqued, she began skipping ahead ten seconds at a time, trying to find the moment when the boy she wanted to see would appear.

Even so, she barely managed to catch glimpses of him.

After pressing the fast-forward button again and again, Kang Byeokrin finally got a good look at him once the match ended.

And those moments lasted only an instant.

The slight upward tilt of his eyes gave him a strong, confident look.

His face was so expressionless that he almost seemed cold.

Kang Byeokrin stared blankly at the screen.

But the instant victory was confirmed.

The corners of his lips slowly curved upward as he removed his headset.

It was the first—and also the last—time in her life that she ever became someone’s fan.

She had developed an enormous interest in that young professional player.

But as time passed, she ended up falling in love with the way he played.

At first, she fell for his face.

Following the recommendation of her assistants, she never expressed that admiration publicly, since it didn’t fit the image she was expected to project as the heir to a conglomerate.

But her affection for the player named Goyo was completely genuine.

Coming back to the present, Kang Byeokrin let out a sigh.

Not long ago, she had received the news that he had suddenly disappeared, and ever since then she had worried about him every single day.

Goyo’s final match remained as vivid in her memory as if it had happened yesterday.

Approaching a retired player whose career had ended because of an injury and telling him she was his fan would probably only make him uncomfortable.

‘Act naturally. legend As if you don’t know him… Completely naturally!’

Besides, the fact that she liked professional gamers was a secret she kept hidden from the public.

She rummaged through every single piece of clothing until she found an outfit that looked elegant without being overly formal.

Then she ran to her walk-in closet.

Hugging a twenty-five-centimeter Goyo plushie, Kang Byeokrin repeated those words to herself over and over again.

With almost solemn determination, she headed downstairs to the living room, where Goyo would be waiting for her.

“Please follow me.”

The garden was enormous as well.

‘It’s really huge.’

Guided by Director Woo, I entered the mansion while looking around with curiosity.

Every time our eyes met, he gave me a flawless professional smile.

The moment I thanked him, his smile grew even deeper.

As I followed Kang Cheonseo toward the dining room, I even found myself wondering whether crawling on all fours or barking would do less damage to the Trial Response Agency’s reputation.

The servants, moving without making the slightest sound, had already laid out a table full of hot dishes on an enormous marble table.

I wouldn’t have even minded being treated like an animal.

Kang Cheonseo seated Samra and me.

The corners of her eyes curved into deep wrinkles.

Even so, I didn’t touch the dessert again.

So I got straight to the point.

She didn’t seem like someone who liked beating around the bush.

But even I could tell it wasn’t genuine.
